“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” — John 7:38

To every converted soul the Lord of the vineyard is now saying, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” In the field where the follower of Christ is already situated, or in a field close by, or, perhaps, in some field farther away, he is to begin a work for God. The work that some are able to do, may appear to be restricted by circumstances; but wherever it is, if performed with faith and diligence, it will be felt to the uttermost parts of the earth…

In the closing work of the third angel’s message, many who have long stood in the market-place as indifferent idlers, will heed the divine commission, and engage in active service for the Master. God has places of usefulness in the home field, and in the regions beyond, that may be filled acceptably by the most humble men, of varied talent, even if human hands may never be laid on them in ordination. Long has he waited for the missionary spirit to pervade the entire church, so that every one shall work, in some part of the world, as in the sight of the hosts of heaven. (1)

In every church in our land, believers should engage in earnest seasons of prayer for the guidance of the Holy Spirit, that they may be directed to the best places to plant the seeds of truth. I have been shown that angels of heaven are waiting for the co-operation of human instrumentalities in the work of bringing this precious truth before the notice of the world. … The Lord Jesus knows the needs of His children, and He will qualify them to do the work He appoints them to do. His professing people need to study the Word, study how they can best introduce the truth in places where it has not yet been carried.

God’s Word plainly declares that He has given to every man his work. Each should study carefully and prayerfully to know what that work is. All heaven is interested in the work of saving souls, and the angels of God will go before every worker who will take up the work of giving the knowledge of His Word to the world. (2)

Charge for the Day: Take hold of the promise that God will qualify and equip you for the work He has called you to do. With this promise in mind seek His face as you ask, “Lord what do you want me to do?” — Acts 9:6, NKJV
